FAQs
How much space do I need to keep chickens?
As with most animals, the more space you can provide the better. That's not to say, however, that you can't provide a perfectly adequate setup for a handful of bantam chickens in a small back yard. Get in touch with one of our team who can advise you based on your current space.
What do chickens eat?
Depending slightly on the breed, our birds are on chick crumb from 0-6 weeks old, growers pellets from 6-16 weeks and layers pellets thereafter. The reason behind these changes as they age is as each different feed provides just the right balance of nutrients for their different stages of life.

How do I clean my coop?
In order to keep your chickens healthy and happy, the coop should be regularly cleaned in order to remove waste and keep it dry. We suggest you start by removing all the bedding material & scraping off any waste from the roosting bar. Then, spray the whole thing with an animal friendly disinfectant before allowing to dry and refill the coop with bedding. Don't forget to regularly treat the coop with redmite spray.
