Silkies

Believed to have originated in ancient China, these cute little fluff balls make fantastic backyard layers, producing up to 120 eggs per year. They are also among the most docile of birds so are great starter birds for families with children.

Our breeding flock is headed up by cockerel, Slash, who joined the pack (originally as Tina, oops!) as a tiny chick and has now moved up in the world into his own coop surrounded by his 'groupies'.
